On Monday, June 14, NASHP testified at the first meeting of the HHS Office of the National Coordinator HIT Policy Committee Enrollment Workgroup to discuss enrollment standards and protocols for eligibility systems in implementing the Accountable Care Act (ACA). Alice Weiss, the deputy director of the Maximizing Enrollment for Kids program at NASHP, delivered NASHP’s testimony, highlighting the opportunities and challenges for states seeking to streamline their eligibility and enrollment systems post-health reform. The Workgroup’s mission is to recommend protocols and standards that will ensure the Medicaid, CHIP, and Exchange eligibility and enrollment systems work together seamlessly.
